Wayne Hartmann, Senior Vice President for Beckwith Electric

Largo, Florida – December 5, 2017 – Beckwith Electric today announced that Wayne Hartmann has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Customer Excellence.

As Senior Vice President, Mr. Hartmann is the top strategist for the company for developing mission critical messages and promoting innovative Beckwith Electric Technology for the Electric Power Industry. He acts as the primary spokesperson for delivering Innovative Technology Messages to the Electric Power Industry, and continues to promote Beckwith Electric’s image and reputation through involvement in industry standards development and technical forums worldwide. As a long-standing member of the Beckwith Electric Design Review Board, Mr. Hartmann is a key contributor to the discussion of new product development ideas to drive Beckwith Electric technology to new heights. Mr. Hartmann holds a leadership role in the development of course structure and presentation materials for Beckwith Electric Annual and Regional Protection & Control Seminars. He also provides training, coaching and mentoring for Beckwith Electric personnel in Sales, Marketing, Creative Technical Solutions, and Engineering.

Before joining Beckwith Electric, Mr. Hartmann performed in Application, Sales and Marketing Management capacities at PowerSecure, General Electric, Siemens Power T&D and Alstom T&D. With over 30 years of participation in the Industry, his focus has been on the application of protection and control systems for electrical generation, transmission, distribution, distributed resources and power utilization.

Mr. Hartmann is a Senior Member of IEEE, serving on the IEEE Power System Relaying Committee as a Main Committee Member for over 25 years. He is Chair Emeritus of the Rotating Machinery Subcommittee (’07-’10). He has contributed to numerous IEEE Standards, Guides, Reports, Tutorials and Transactions, and delivered Tutorials at IEEE T&D Conferences, and instructed at local IEEE Chapters. He has authored and presented numerous technical papers at key industry conferences including Distributech, Demand Response and Smart Grid Coalition, IEEE ISGT, Georgia Tech Relay, Western Protective Relay, Texas A&M Relay, Western Power Delivery Automation, RMEL, Minnesota Power Systems, IA/NB Power Systems and CEATI T&D. He also contributed to McGraw-Hill’s “Standard Handbook of Power Plant Engineering.”
