Generation and Transmission.
The three important components in getting energy to the end user are (1) Power Generation; (2) Power Transmission; and (3) Power Distribution.
Electricity is “created” in generating plants. The electricity then travels from the generating plant over long distances to the local service area via Transmission lines. The distribution function, the final link in the path, provides electricity to homes and businesses.
