Thai Li serves as the Vice President of Engineering for Beckwith Electric. Thai is responsible for leading the engineering and product development teams who are responsible for the design and engineering of all Beckwith Electric products.

Thai Li joined Beckwith Electric in 1996 as a Senior Engineer, leading projects and designing software for protective relays and tapchanger controls. In 2002, Thai was promoted to Manager of R&D for the protective relay line. In 2006, he was promoted to R&D Manager of all product development. In 2017, Thai was promoted to Vice President of Engineering.

Over his years of service at Beckwith Electric, Thai has been active in driving product innovation and delivering successful products to market. Thai was instrumental in leading the development of the Beckwith Electric Capacitor and Regulator Controls as well as the Beckwith Electric Recloser Control and Protection, Automation and Control System for Power Distribution Applications.

Thai received a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina Asheville, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University.
