Largo, Florida – November 11, 2013 – Beckwith Electric, a leading power and automation technology company, announced the appointment of Michael Thompson to the key role of Customer Technical Support Manager. He succeeds Randal Carlton, who announced his retirement from Beckwith Electric in October 2013.

In this role, Thompson will manage and direct the delivery of Beckwith Electric’s customer technical support services. He will be responsible for Beckwith Electric’s mission to meet and exceed customer support service needs and expectations. In addition, his role will include pricing strategy and management.

Thompson began his career at Beckwith Electric in 1997 in the Quality Department, advancing through positions of increasing responsibility. He continued to grow his extensive technical service and project management experience through roles including Product Validation Test Specialist, Product Support Manager, Lab Support Manager, and most recently, Power Systems Engineering Analyst. Before joining Beckwith Electric, he served as an Electronics Technician and Nuclear Reactor Operator for the U.S. Navy.
