Largo, Florida – January 30, 2017 – Beckwith Electric, a leading power systems protection, automation and control solutions company, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Robert Beckwith founded the company in 1967 in his garage near Chicago, Illinois, and his son Thomas Beckwith joined him in 1970. In 1972, the company relocated to Largo, Florida, to serve the needs of the expanding business. The company is a privately-owned, family business, and Tom Beckwith is presently CEO with his 28-year teammate, Dr. Murty Yalla as President.

Beckwith Electric’s core principal is “Products defined by you, refined by Beckwith.” The Beckwith Design Review Board, comprised of R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Corporate Management Engineers meets regularly to process and convert customer ideas into products with elegant simplicity.
