Largo, Florida – December 19, 2011 – Beckwith Electric, a leading power and automation technology company, today announced that Robert McFetridge has re-joined the company as Technical Applications Solutions Architect. Hugo Monterrubio has been promoted to Senior Marketing Manager.

Robert McFetridge brings over 25 years of electrical power experience along with extensive marketing and sales experience to this new position at Beckwith Electric. His main responsibilities will include product strategy, development, and launches, as well as promoting Beckwith Electric and its operating divisions worldwide. He spent the first 7 years of his career as an application engineer with two different power companies- Virginia Power Company and Georgia Power Company- where his primary focus was in substation SCADA, distribution automation, and distribution protection. He spent the next 14 years of his career working for various vendors such as Tasnet, Siemens PTD, Schneider Electric/Modicon, and Alstom/Areva T&D. For over 5 years, he was the Regional Sales Application Engineer for the East Coast of the U.S. and Canada for Beckwith Electric. He received a BSEE from West Virginia University.

Hugo Monterrubio has been promoted to Senior Marketing Manager and will play a key role in Beckwith Electric’s ongoing success. His role includes leading marketing strategy and development, as well as collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and sales. Since joining the company, he has held roles of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing and brings over 20 years of extensive engineering experience. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering (BSECE) degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in 1988 and a Masters of International Business Administration (MIBA) degree from St. Louis University in 1997. He is a member of the IEEE and the PSRC. Along with his new role, he will continue to hold the responsibilities of the Regional Sales Application Engineer for the Central United States until the position is filled.
