Beckwith Electric’s Synchronizing Systems are suitable for the automatic synchronizing of a generator to the electric power network. The system provides speed and voltage “jogs” to bring a generator to proper conditions of matching  voltage and frequency, prior to safely and  accurately closing a breaker into a bus energized by an electric power network. They offer the best accuracy in the industry to assure safety for your most expensive asset.

  • Matches Generator Speed And Voltage To System
  • Works In Conjunction With M‑0193B Syncrocloser® Unit To Close Breaker At Zero Degrees Phase Angle Error
  • Adjustable Jog Durations, proportional to error, for Voltage and Speed control.
  • Time Between Jogs adjustments bring the generator to a matched condition in minimum time and eliminate overshoot and hunting.
  • Kicker Pulse brings phase angle around through zero if speed is matched but synchronism has not yet occurred. Adjustable pulse duration compensates for the sensitivity of the governor.

  • Enhances system stability when applied to transmission and primary distribution reclosing schemes
  • Detects a static phase angle across an open breaker in 0.5 second to assure a fast permissive for reclosure
  • Simultaneously measures voltage magnitudes to ensure that they are within upper, lower and difference limits
  • Includes dead line/dead bus closing features
  • Remote command widens the phase angle setpoint to respond to system emergencies or to narrow the setpoint when the two systems are isolated to close the breaker very close to 0°
  • Transducer analog outputs are SCADA compatible
